Kates Hill Primary School, Dudley
We offer a range of activities and oportunities that enhance and support the children's learning.
Annually, Year 5 pupils visit Astley Burf Outdoor Centre as a residential experience.
Year 6 pupils go to Kingswood Outward Bound on a four day residential visit each year.
We have held music workshops from nursery through to Year 6
We had various dancers from the Fracture Group - who worked with a group of KS2 girls who performed their dances at Stourbridge Town Hall.
An architect worked with Years 5 and 6 - the pupils worked on the practical aspects of building bridges.
Musicians from Dudley Music Services worked with Year 4 for a term and with Year 5 for the whole year. Y4 have learned to play the recorder and Y5 the mini trombone.
A community artist worked with Years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
KS2 pupils learn French and after school Urdu classes are offered twice a week
Focus weeks such as Staying Safe and Multi Faiths enhance the curricular opportunities for the children
Each year group experiences educational trips and visitors into school to support their topic work
A range of clubs and activities are held after school.
Children have taken part in both inter school sporting activities and quizzes
